Today I have some exciting news to share – I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Blogging Award!  Thank you very much to Jen from This Happy House for nominating me.  Now that I’ve been blogging for exactly one and half months, I want to also thank all of you my readers.  I still get that little thrill of happiness when I check my site statistics and see how many people visit my blog each week. 

Walking into the Naples Botanical Garden, feels like walking into a tropical rain forest, (or at least it fits my imaginary picture of walking into one)!  Tall trees covered in vines and foliage dim the light and the air is warm and humid.  Colorful flowers hang from the trees or grow in patches on the ground.  A wooden bridge crosses a small stream and birds flit around.

Welcome to Part 2 of my Naples, Florida travel guide! Today I’ll share breakfast and lunch recommendations including reviews of two fantastic Fifth Avenue restaurants - The French and Vergina.

Last week, my husband and I decided to celebrate the coming of Spring by traveling to sunny, south-west Florida.  (It helped that my sister’s college graduation happened to coincide!)  Now that I’m back in NYC, I’m looking forward to sharing stories of our trip and a Naples, FL travel guide over the next few days!

Today’s featured restaurant is a small French bistro in the West Village – Dominique Bistro.  I first went to Dominique a couple of years ago with my husband for lunch.  At the time, it was called Why Not Bistro.  We were impressed with the quality of the food and the setting.  Dominique is located on the ground floor of a beautiful, white, five story building with black iron terraces at the corner of Gay Street and Christopher Street.
